Have you wanted to improve your ability to play solos quickly and smoothly on the guitar? 90-minute session at Winchester Community Music School, guitar faculty member Aiden Schnell will teach participants the basics of playing over simple chord changes using chord shapes and the pentatonic scale. Open to all guitar players ages 12+ with at least three years of lessons. Free for WCMS students; $15 for the general public; advance registration required. We're looking for woodwind, brass, percussion, ukulele, guitar, bass and other instrumentalists to play spooky themed music to kick off this fun town-wide event. No marching is required - we'll play standing in place. Costumes are welcome. This event takes place in the Jenks Center parking lot, across from Town Hall. We'll meet at 9:30 AM in the parking lot for a quick run through rehearsal and play at 10:30 AM. We should be wrapped up by around 10:45 AM. Pick up your music parts in the front office once you've signed up to perform.

Anthony Sammarco will discuss the history of the Salem WitchcraA Trails which caused such tremendous anxiety and fear and the deaths of many innocent people in Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1692. He will also talk about the decorating of Beacon Hill as a veritable neighborhood of whimsy.
