Fiddling Workshop with Molly Tucker

Are you a string player who is curious about the art of fiddling? Whether you're brand new to fiddling or have explored this art form before, this workshop is for you! In this 90-minute session at Winchester Community Music School, teaching artist Molly Tucker will lead participants through learning a fiddle tune and exploring what styling can make your playing sound like fiddle playing. The group will also explore chordal and rhythmic ideas to bring the tune to life in their own way.

Food Art

Is it food or is it art? Both! Kids in grades 3-5 sign up to help create your ultimate food art showpiece. We'll learn a few design skills and then create our masterpieces. Sometimes food is just food, but sometimes it can also be art. Registration required.

Founders Day! Celebrate the Griffin

On Saturday, September  13, the Griffin Museum invites you to celebrate our museum and Arthur  Griffin's birthday and legacy with a vibrant, immersive day of photography and community. Begin at 9 AM with a lively Coffee & Conversation hosted by Executive Director Crista  Dix. French Storytime

Join the Winchester Public Library and the International School of Boston for a French storytime! Children and their caregivers will enjoy classic books read aloud in French, and be introduced to simple vocabulary and everyday words through interactive activities.

Friends of Music Annual Meeting

Please join us on March 6th for our annual WFOM meeting. We will review the current budget, make plans for spring events, including Jazz Night and Strawberry Pops, and receive updates on WPS Music Department happenings as well as community-wide events such as Porchfest. We will also hold elections for the 2024-2025 officers.
