It's happening! Join us on Saturdar, November 22nd from 10 am to 4 pm for an open house during our annual Winchester Open Studios. Enjoy visual arts treats by our local artists. Join us on the final day of the Winter Solstice Members' Exhibition to meet other Griffin members and exchange prints with fellow artists.

-- Bring a print to swap (recommended size: no larger than 14″).

-- If you are participating in the Winter Solstice Members' Exhibition, you already have a print available should you wish to swap it with the work currently on the Griffin

The Griffin Museum of Photography is pleased to present an online conversation with the Honorable Mention Winners of the 31st Juried Annual Members Exhibition, Julia Cluett, Jeff Larason, Brian Kosoff, Gail Samuelson and Stephanie Slate. Join us on Wednesday, August 6th from 7 to 8:30 pm to learn more about their practices and photographs.

About the juror-

Ann M. Jastrab is the Executive Director at the Center for Photographic Art (CPA) in Carmel, California. CPA strives to advance photography through education, exhibition

The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is most affectionately connected to King's College in Cambridge, England, where it has graced the Chapel on Christmas Eve since 1918.

Join historical musical sensation Diane Taraz to celebrate the spirit of life and memories of friends. She will be performing her Fond Farewell musical program for Memorial Day, consisting of classical and original songs on guitar and dulcimer. The program will include Over the Rainbow, Wayfaring Stranger, Amazing Grace, Will the Circle be Unbroken and many more. Diane has provided music for sponsored events and recorded CDs, produced 20 solo CDs, 6 CDs with groups and 4 singles. Sponsored by the Cummings Foundation.

Koshari Mama presents vegan Egyptian delights. From the rich spices to the traditional dishes, this buffet offers a culinary journey through the heart of Egypt, all in a fun and welcoming atmosphere. To make the evening even more special, we’ll have a live belly dancer performance between courses, adding an exciting cultural experience to the night! Basic cost: $84; lower and higher tiered prices available.

Local photographer Bruce Magnuson will guide us through a fascinating trip down the Hudson Valley. He will touch upon historical, cultural and artistic themes that capture the essence of the area. While weaving in photographs, he will show how, many of the major themes in American History have shown up in this small section of the country. Sponsored by the Cummings Foundation Grant.

Join us at Winchester High School (80 Skillings Road) on Tuesday, May 20, from 5:30 – 7:30 for a family-friendly Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander celebration!
