Our 1st Annual Pickleball Tournament represents a new phase in our organization's history as we strive toward a vision of raising the level of Winchester's recreational facilities to best in class. The Friends of Winchester Recreation and Community Services, Inc. is a registered 501c(3) since 1991. Over the years, we have helped support the Winchester Youth Center, Kid Connection Preschool, and various other projects with grants of over $80,000 in 2024.

This annual event raises funds for New England Justice For Our Neighbors. Come sample as many chilis as you like and vote for your favorite(s). And while you're enjoying the chili (and salad, cornbread, and dessert), learn about the important work NEJFON does, providing fee, expert legal aid to low- and no-income immigrants through their clinics located across Western, Central, and Northeast Massachusetts. They specialize in humanitarian-based cases, serving unaccompanied minors, asylum applicants, and victims of violence.

Koshari Mama presents vegan Egyptian delights. From the rich spices to the traditional dishes, this buffet offers a culinary journey through the heart of Egypt, all in a fun and welcoming atmosphere. To make the evening even more special, we’ll have a live belly dancer performance between courses, adding an exciting cultural experience to the night! Art in the Park is a family-friendly public art activity including hands-on opportunities, demonstrations, and exhibitions of art that takes place during the Winchester Farmers' Market. A number of local artists will run activities to show their creative process and in some cases to let people try making their own. Artists all also be able to sell their artwork. There will be something for everyone!

Live in-person from the stunning Ripley Chapel at First Congregational Church, Winchester.

Celebrate pride through beautiful, empowering, first-hand accounts of trans, nonbinary, and gender-fluid experiences. From Massachusetts-based Family Diversity Projects, this exhibit uses stunning photography and rich stories to challenge damaging myths and stereotypes about trans and nonbinary people, educate people about these communities, and help make the world a safer, more connected, and more empathetic place.

Please join us to meet the candidates in the local election on March 22nd.  There will be complementary light appetizers and a cash bar. All candidates for contested elections, and others running uncontested, are welcome!

This event is intended as an informal counterpart to the candidate debates hosted by the League of Women Voters on March 5 and 6, and is a new take on the "candidate breakfast" that the Chamber has hosted for several years.
