Teen Knitting (and Crochet!)

This event is for students in grades 6-12. No adults. Join our new monthly fiber arts group for teens and learn the basics of knitting and crochet, or bring your own project to work on! We'll have snacks, basic supplies, and a selection of the best knitting and crochet books the library has.

Teen Lego Building: The Milky Way

This event is for rising 6th-12th grade students only. Any LEGO fans out there? Help build our new set - the Milky Way. This set has over 3000 pieces that come together to create a textured, dimensional depiction of the Milky Way. This set is built in five separate panels so each participant can work on their own.

Teen Tech Time: Learn Onshape

This event is for students in grades 6-12. No adults, please.Teens, are you interested in learning how to design objects to be 3D printed? Join WHS student Isaac as he gives you an introduction to Onshape, a free, cloud-based design platform. In this session you'll learn to design your own project which can then be 3D printed in the library.

The Brennan Lecture: Tim Buckley, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Vanguard Group

Mr. Buckley will share foundational lessons in investing he has gathered over his four decades working to give investors the best chance for investment success. He will discuss Vanguard’s investment principles, the current state of passive and active investing, and how artificial intelligence and digital advice may shape the investing landscape in the future. Mr. Buckley has served as Vanguard’s CEO since 2018. Previously, Mr. Buckley was Vanguard's chief investment officer, overseeing the company's internally managed stock, bond, and money market portfolios as well as its investment research
