One of the greatest obstacles in any creative practice is the fear of failure. We all strive to be perceived as skilled and competent, yet as any scientist knows, discovery depends on experimentation, and not every experiment succeeds. The creative process is no different. Sometimes the wrong path leads to an unexpected direction or reveals precisely what is needed to move forward. Often, the most egregious mistakes become the most valuable breakthroughs.

Join Winchester Community Music School for a family-friendly afternoon program of Brazilian choro music from the 1940s and 50s, performed by a talented trio of musicians. Experience the soulful rhythms that inspired the Bossa Nova, along with captivating original compositions. The concert will feature WCMS guitar faculty member Maurice Cahen with special guests Ricardo Froto (violin & percussion) and Andrea Pejrolo (bass).

Free admission--all are welcome. Please consider bringing a new or gently used children's clothing item to donate to Cradles to Crayons' Gear Up for Winter drive

Family Concert: En Tu Órbita featuring Sol y Canto

Sol y Canto is the award-winning Pan-Latin ensemble led by Puerto Rican/Argentine singer and percussionist Rosi Amador and New Mexican guitarist and composer Brian Amador. Featuring Rosi's crystalline voice and Brian's lush Spanish guitar and inventive compositions, Sol y Canto is known for making their music accessible to Spanish and non-Spanish speaking audiences of all ages. Rosi and Brian are joined by cellist/vocalist Queralt Giralt Soler from Barcelona who, along with her spectacular cello playing, adds her voice to the group's intricate vocal harmonies.
