Art in August Opening Reception

The Winchester Cultural Council is joining with the Winchester Artists’ Network to exhibit local artists’ works in local shops and businesses throughout the month of August. We are kicking off Art in August with a gala reception to celebrate the arts in Winchester. Come meet the artists who are exhibiting in locations throughout the town, the merchants who generously donate space in their shops and windows, state and town leaders, Winchester Cultural Council members and local grant recipients, as well as other town residents and business owners.

All are invited, free admission. RSVP appreciated

Celebrate 32 years with us!

We can't wait to celebrate our birthday with you! We turn 32 this year and will be celebrating all things photo! Our founder Arthur Griffin would have been 101 this year, and we honor his legacy by looking to the future of the craft of photography with new exhibitions and ways to create images. Our exhibition in the museum, Artificial Intelligence will be on the walls featuring the work of Josh Azzarella, Rashed Haq, Haley Lohn, Andrea Orejarena & Caleb Stein and Phillip Toledano and exhibitions featuring Marcus DiSieno and Sheri Lynn Behr Andrea Orejarena & Caleb Stein

Collector's Eye | A Conversation and Book Signing with Frazier King

The Griffin Museum is pleased to present an afternoon of conversation with artist and collector Frazier King and Griffin Museum's Executive Director Crista Dix. The pair will talk about collaborating with artists, supporting careers through collecting, finding your vision and living with works you love. Frazier worked with Schilt Publishing to create a book featuring many of the works in his collection. Finding Your Vision with Alex Webb and Rebecca Norris Webb

Do you know where you're going next with your photography -- or where it's taking you? This intensive, IN PERSON, weekend workshop will help photographers begin to understand their own distinct way of seeing the world. It will also help photographers figure out their next step photographically--from deepening their own unique vision to the process of discovering and making a long-term project that they're passionate about. This workshop is for passionate amateurs and professionals, for documentary photographers and fine art photographers, for photography students and seasoned photographers
