Mandated by the State Executive Office of Elder Affairs and the Federal Administration on Aging, the Council
- identifies the needs and resources of the town’s aging population and designs services in response to these needs,
- provides resources such as social and health services, financial and legal consultation, transportation, and educational program, and
- educates the community and enlists community support for its programs.
