Make a Felted Penguin

Come make a needle felted baby penguin with artist Jennifer McCarthy, owner of The Felted Bee. Grab a friend and learn the art of needle felting in a supportive and relaxing environment. In this beginner friendly workshop, you will learn skills and techniques specific to needle felting as well as how to make your own needle felted wool baby penguin.

Spring into Reading - Winchester Public Library Open House

Enjoy an afternoon at the Library's "Spring into Reading" Open House. Rediscover all the library has to offer for children, teens and adults. Explore the collections, learn about our art and support the Library's many enriching programs by bidding on wonderful items from local businesses!

Fun crafts and a library-wide scavenger hunt for kids. Lawn games for all!

Stories of Standing Up for Others

In honor of MLK Day 2025, please join us for a True Story Theater performance and workshop on the theme of "Standing up for others."

This workshop is Thursday, February 6, from 6-8 pm and follows the interactive performance of Sunday, January 26 (from 3-5 pm). Both programs are at the Griffin Museum of Photography.

It is recommended, but not required, to attend both events to get the most out of the experience. The programs are recommended for those 13+ years old.

Stories of Standing Up for Others: a Workshop

"Magical." "Stunning." "Brought everyone in."

These were some of the comments shared after the True Story Theater interactive performance held on Sunday, January 26. Five brave "tellers" shared moving stories of "standing up for others" that were "played back" by the extremely talented troupe to an audience to about 50 people. "You could feel the energy in the room" which lasted beyond the show as audience members mingled and reflected on the experience.
