In this fun, hands-on class, Pop Up Art School will show you how to create a cute ghost holding an orange pumpkin using wool and a barbed needle. By the end of the session, you'll have a delightful handmade ghost to add a touch of spooky charm to your home!Learn the joy of needle felting with Pop up Art School in a friendly environment.
Create a beautiful sunflower and learn how to needle felt! Pop up Art School will show you how to use a barbed needle and wool roving to sculpt the petals and leaves. You'll leave with the tools and knowledge you need to needle felt on your own. Registration is required.
Join us for a bookish craft event where you can unwind and get creative. In this unique art class you'll craft a three-dimensional teacup and saucer using torn book pages. Guided by a template, you'll assemble and shape your teacup and add charming accents of flowers or hearts.
NextGen: 3D Design & PrintingSaturday, 10/18, 11:00a - 12:30pFor students in grades 5-12Students, learn all about 3D printing from fellow students! This workshop will get you up to speed on the basics of 3D design and printing. Registration required.
Join us for a special cinematic experience! Pianist Richard Hughes will take us back to a time when Nickelodeon theatres showed black & white flickers to the accompaniment of live piano. After an introductory talk about silent movie mood music, Richard will provide live piano accompaniment to a screening of The Cameraman, starring Buster Keaton.
Enjoy an afternoon at the Library's "Spring into Reading" Open House. Rediscover all the library has to offer for children, teens and adults. Explore the collections, learn about our art and support the Library's many enriching programs by bidding on wonderful items from local businesses!
