In this final session (six) of the Griffin Museum's Professional Development Series, Kareen Black will discuss promotional strategies, social media tactics, and other marketing approaches to help lens-based artists and professional photographers further their career. There is not one way to be an artist or professional photographer, and there is not one way to promote yourself to clients, organizations or become a brand. We are pleased to announce the opening of registration for our special 40th Anniversary Atelier session and are excited to share more details with you.

The in-person class will be taught by Emily Belz and will take place on Thursday evenings from 4:30-7:30 PM at the Griffin Museum of Photography, located at 67 Shore Road, Winchester, MA 01890. The program will begin on September 18 and run through the end of May.

The online class will be taught by Jennifer McClure and held on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-9:00 PM (ET) via Zoom. It will begin on September 16 and run through the end of May

This portfolio and project building course will inspire students to take new approaches to their photography practice and help guide students in finding concepts and approaches they would like to develop into a longer-term project. The Griffin Museum is proud to continue its tradition of fostering creative growth with Photography Atelier II, an advanced, project-driven course led by photographer and educator Traer Scott. This online class is designed for students who have completed Photography Atelier I and are ready to take their photographic practice to the next level.

This portfolio and project building course will inspire students who have already completed Photography Atelier I to continue to pursue new approaches in their photographic practice, and help guide them in elevating/extending concept building, and explore new methods for continuing an existing series, or creating a new project

Join us for a special concert featuring selected students from the WCMS Piano Department, as we recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of some of our most dedicated piano students!
There will be two concerts this evening, the first at 5:00 PM and the second at 7:00 PM. The programs will feature works spanning the Baroque period to Impressionism.
Held live in Nichols Hall, and streamed to the WCMS YouTube channel.
