February | Coffee and Conversation - Member Networking Event

Join us for a morning event of conversation and critique. We are excited to provide our members an opportunity to network and get critical feedback about a body of work either in process or complete. Spend your Sunday morning with Crista Dix, Griffin Museum's Executive Director to have a conversation answering your questions about your creativity, working with institutions or other issues or ideas around photography and creativity.

February Break Art Jam! / Ages 5-8

Spend your vacation getting creative! Come on over to Studio on the Common for some nonstop, art-filled fun! We'll have a new project each day, so you can sign up for just one day or the whole week (but we don't recommend signing up for the morning and the afternoon on the same day as the projects do repeat). With a creative mix of drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media projects it's sure to be a blast!

February Break Pottery on the Wheel / Ages 8-13

Looking for something fun to do during February Break? Join us for this fun-packed 3-day class, where students will learn the basics of throwing on the wheel including centering and opening to create their own unique forms. Each student will have their own wheel for the entirety of the class period.

This class is open to beginner - intermediate level students. If you have never taken pottery before OR if you have taken a pottery class with us and would like to improve your skills, we welcome you all to join us!

Fiddling Workshop with Molly Tucker

Are you a string player who is curious about the art of fiddling? Whether you're brand new to fiddling or have explored this art form before, this workshop is for you! In this 90-minute session at Winchester Community Music School, teaching artist Molly Tucker will lead participants through learning a fiddle tune and exploring what styling can make your playing sound like fiddle playing. The group will also explore chordal and rhythmic ideas to bring the tune to life in their own way.
