Guitar Clinic with Hayes Griffin

Right Hand Mechanics: Guitar Clinic with Hayes Griffin
This 90-minute workshop is for any guitarist who wants to gain better control and fluency in flat-pick playing. Guest clinician Hayes Griffin will help participants to:
• Better control your picking hand
• Gain control when playing awkward string skips
• Gain fluidity at a variety of tempos
• Build techniques for better tone
• Learn how to practice to affirm good picking technique
Open to intermediate and advanced guitar players ages 13+. Please bring your guitar and a flat pick!
Free for WCMS students; $15 for the general public

Guitar Workshop: Playing Over Chord Changes

Have you wanted to improve your ability to play solos quickly and smoothly on the guitar? 90-minute session at Winchester Community Music School, guitar faculty member Aiden Schnell will teach participants the basics of playing over simple chord changes using chord shapes and the pentatonic scale. Open to all guitar players ages 12+ with at least three years of lessons. Free for WCMS students; $15 for the general public; advance registration required. Holiday Cheeseboard Arranging Workshop

Kick off the holiday season with an evening of cheese tasting, grazing board arranging, and festive beverages on the farm with a special Holiday Cheeseboard Arranging Workshop led by Life.Love.Cheese.

We’ll be sampling four delicious American artisanal cheeses, paired with a festive holiday drink. Then, we’ll guide you through arranging a 9-inch grazing board using those cheeses and a variety of holiday-themed accompaniments. Whether you’re looking to perfect your holiday hosting skills or simply enjoy a cozy evening of culinary creativity, this workshop is the perfect way to start the season

Homecoming: WFEE Autumn Gala

This year, get ready to rewind the clock and relive the rad vibes of the 1990’s at our semi-formal homecoming dance!  Slip on your DocMarten’s, dust off the scrunchies, and join us for a night filled with nostalgic fun and great music, all the while supporting our mission of enriching educational opportunities within Winchester Public Schools!  We have decided to change it up this year, hosting our event in the Winchester Town Hall, the original location of semi-formal dances back in WFEE’s earliest days, and can’t wait to share in this special evening with you all.
