Faculty Concert: Harmonious Heights with the Zefira Trio

Winchester Community Music School is pleased to present its second faculty concert of the 2024-25 season. The Zefíra Trio features WCMS faculty member Olga Patramanska-Bell, violin, with Ashima Scripp, cello, and Eleanor Perrone, piano. The members of Zefíra have established themselves as solo artists and chamber musicians of the highest standard. They are top prize winners of many national and international competitions and appear often as soloists with orchestras or in major recital halls across the country. Faculty Concert: Let's Make Arrangements

Please join us for the first Faculty Concert of 2024-2025 featuring the Sempervirens Ensemble at Winchester Community Music School. Four virtuoso recorder players (Heloise Degrugillier, Dan Meyers, Emily O'Brien, and Roy Sansom) will present a program which comprises music from the 14th century to this year. Works will include Baroque keyboard pieces, a medieval Estampie, one of Ligiti's Bagatelles for Wind Quintet, the scherzo from Mendelssohn's A Midsummer Night's Dream, a short piano prelude by Prokofiev, and more. Fall Flora Walk

A Fall Plant ID Nature walk at the farm and on Whipple Hill. We’ll focus on basic identification characteristics primarily looking at native species, including a plant Native Americans used to supposedly cure “craziness” as well as one they used to wash their hands, a few best identified using our noses, several that are edible and medicinal along with a few non-natives. And we’ll discuss specifics on native vs. non-native. Cost: $25/$20/$15 (tiered).

Family Concert: En Tu Órbita featuring Sol y Canto

Sol y Canto is the award-winning Pan-Latin ensemble led by Puerto Rican/Argentine singer and percussionist Rosi Amador and New Mexican guitarist and composer Brian Amador. Featuring Rosi's crystalline voice and Brian's lush Spanish guitar and inventive compositions, Sol y Canto is known for making their music accessible to Spanish and non-Spanish speaking audiences of all ages. Rosi and Brian are joined by cellist/vocalist Queralt Giralt Soler from Barcelona who, along with her spectacular cello playing, adds her voice to the group's intricate vocal harmonies.
