LIT - Library Initiative for Teens (plus snacks!)

This event is for students in grades 6-12. No adults, please.We're looking for teens to help make the library the best it can be! In this group we will have opportunities for you to help in a variety of ways - help make choices on what we should buy for the collection, create programs for all to attend, work on social media posts, and create decorations to brighten the Teen Space.

Loammi Baldwin, Jr: The Father of Civil Engineering in America with Victor Skowronski

Join New Horizons at Choate resident Victor Skowronski, as he shares his love of history and engineering. Retired engineer Victor Skowronski has provided the magazine, 'The Bent', with the story of Loammi Baldwin Jr. and he will now share it with us! Baldwin Jr. has been called the Father of Civil Engineering in America by the Charlestown Historical Society. Sponsored by the Cummings Foundation Grant.

Lunchtime Faculty Concert: Sentimental Journey

This lunchtime faculty concert at Winchester Community Music School will bring the audience on a Sentimental Journey across generations of jazz, Broadway and popular music. Music therapist and singer Shayla McDermott will weave in stories from her work as a music therapist with older adults. She will be joined by her partner and esteemed jazz pianist, Jonathan Fagan, along with Max Ridley on bass and Austin McMahon on drums.

Free admission--all are welcome. A suggested $20 donation supports our concerts and performers. Presented live in Nichols Performance Hall at WCMS and also streamed
