Cultural Council Grant Workshop

Learn how to get a grant from the Winchester Cultural Council at this drop-in workshop. Cultural Council members will be there to describe the grant program and answer questions. This is also a good opportunity to meet them and learn more about what the WCC does! Come any time between 5:30 and 7:00 pm.

Every year, the Winchester Cultural Council gives grants for cultural activities. Last year the WCC gave over $16,000 to 16 individuals and organizations, with amounts ranging from $250 to $2,500. The application deadline is Wednesday, October 16.

Cyanotype & Gold with Marcy Palmer (Online)

Elevate your cyanotype work! This workshop will explore alternative methods for working with cyanotype prints using gold leaf or imitation leaf, gold metallic paint, powder, and wax. We will utilize various techniques for the application of these materials, explore paper and media choices, discuss how the combination of metal and cyanotype can affect the overall meaning of the work, look at examples of artists who have used these techniques and various media, and discuss how the materials have further communicated their ideas. Dancing Ribbon Rings!

Embellish your dance parties with your very own Dancing Ribbon Rings! Each child will get to design and make their own wooden rings with ribbons and tulle (and their grown-up's help). This program is for kids ages 2-5 and their grown-ups. Registration required.
